What is Chocolate Monggo?

“Monggo” is a brand of chocolate often seen in Indonesia, but it’s a chocolate brand from Yogyakarta, with its factory located in Jogja.

This “Monggo” chocolate is a high-quality, slightly premium chocolate made with 100% cocoa butter.
Particularly recommended is the chocolate in the shape of a Borobudur stupa, as shown in the photo below, which is a souvenir that can be enjoyed for both its appearance and taste.

Chocolate Monggo began in 2001, when truffle chocolates were sold at a shop called “SunMor” near UGM (Gadjah Mada University).

The Chocolate Monggo brand itself was officially created in 2005.
In 2006, it faced difficulties due to a major disaster in Central Java, but from 2010, its recognition within Indonesia gradually increased, and it expanded in scale.
