Balinese Hatten Wines are special wines produced on the island of Bali, Indonesia. They are unique wines born from Bali’s distinct climate and terroir, captivating many with their individual taste and charm.
First, the most defining feature of Hatten Wines is the use of the traditional Balinese grape variety, Alphonse-Lavallée, which gives their wines a unique flavor profile.
In 1994, Balinese native and wine lover Ida Bagus Rai Budarsa founded Hatten Wines. Starting with a single rosé wine made from the traditional Balinese grape variety Alphonse-Lavallée, his goal was to put local wine on the world map.
Today, they offer ten award-winning wines, showcasing both traditional and international grape varieties grown in the vineyards of North Bali.
Hatten Wines feature a perfect balance of refreshing acidity and sweetness, with a smooth and pleasant mouthfeel. A key characteristic is the rich fruit flavor, a gift from Bali’s tropical climate.
