A Lobster Restaurant in the Suburbs of Yogyakarta

Near Pantai Timang in the southwestern part of Yogyakarta province is the famous lobster restaurant, “Kedai Lobster Pak Sis Timang”

It’s about a two-hour drive from Yogyakarta city, so I recommend stopping by when you go to the beach in Yogyakarta!

Paket A-E: Set menu with 1kg of lobster + sides for 3-4 people
Paket F-J: Set menu with 500g of lobster + sides for 2 people

There were five of us that day, so we ordered Paket C and Paket I.
Total: 1.5kg of lobster!!

It was more than I expected, and we couldn’t finish it all…
For a group of five, one 1kg packet might be enough.

By the way, this is what 1.5kg of lobster looks like. There were 9 whole lobsters in total!

As for the price, this restaurant usually partners with guides, so if you come without one, they give you a 10% discount.
So, the total was about IDR 1,000,000.

Wow, that’s incredibly cheap!
Even in Indonesia, isn’t the standard price at a regular restaurant around IDR 150,000 – IDR 250,000 for a half-body of about 100g?

At this restaurant, you can say that you can eat for about one-third of the price of a regular restaurant, with 1500g for IDR 1,000,000, which is about IDR 60,000 – 70,000 per 100g, including many side dishes.
