Spectacular Water Splash Activity in the River

In a somewhat artificially created shallow water area, whether you call it a river or a pond, the Jeep dashes around wildly, giving you a splash experience greater than Splash Mountain…
(You will get seriously wet, so a change of clothes is necessary.)
Photo Session on the Plateau with Mount Merapi in the Background
There’s an open plateau area, so taking photos there with Merapi in the background is an essential activity.
It depends on the weather, so it’s recommended to visit during the dry season.

Tour of the Museum from the 2010 Major Eruption

There was a large-scale eruption over several days starting from October 25, 2010, resulting in at least 353 fatalities.
In this area, there is a museum created from a house that was melted by the eruption at that time.

This is a photo of a melted motorcycle.

This is a photo of melted kettles and other cooking utensils.
Being able to see not only fun activities but also a museum like this is one of the recommended points.
Visit to the Volcanic Eruption Shelter

Although it is called a shelter, many people reportedly starved to death here at the time because they couldn’t get food supplies due to the eruption that lasted for several days.
You can go inside, but it’s completely dark and has a somber atmosphere.
Bonus: Local Delicacy Jadah Tempe

Jadah Tempe is one of the representative traditional dishes of the Sleman region of Merapi.
Jadah is sticky rice. Tempe is an Indonesian specialty made by processing soybeans with a tempeh starter.
It is a dish with a fragrant aroma and a sweet and savory taste, seasoned with coconut, chili, and other spices, with these two ingredients as the main components.
Bonus: Local Delicacy Rabbit Meat

In this mountainous area, rabbit meat is eaten.
It’s a bit cruel, but… you can see raw rabbit meat hanging in front of the shops… (It’s shocking, so I’ll post it at the end…)
Particularly famous is Sate kelinci (rabbit meat skewers).
It’s just a bit tougher than chicken, and if you weren’t told, you would think it was chicken…
