What is Pantai Wediombo?

It is a beach located in the southeastern part of Yogyakarta province, about a 2-hour drive from the center of Yogyakarta.

It’s in an area a little further than the popular Pantai Indrayanti, so it’s relatively less crowded and a recommended beach for a more relaxed and leisurely time!

I’ve summarized the details in a video, so please be sure to check it out!

The Beach Scene

The seas of Yogyakarta are relatively high in waves and have many rocky areas, making them unsuitable for swimming, but Pantai Wediombo has lifeguards on duty at all times, and the rocky areas are relatively few compared to other beaches in Yogyakarta.

Because it’s a bit of a cove-like bay, the waves are calmer, and the seawater is very clear.

At dusk, the rocky shore of the beach is revealed, and the scenery with the sunset is truly wonderful!
