A Heart-fluttering Menu: Recommended Dishes and Price Range
If you’re wondering what to eat in Jakarta, “Sumi to Kome” is the answer!
Yakitori
The signature yakitori is carefully grilled over charcoal, resulting in a crispy, fragrant exterior and a juicy interior. You can enjoy various cuts, from the classic negima to tsukune and liver.
Kamameshi (Kettle Rice)

Another recommendation is the fluffy, perfectly cooked kamameshi. The wonderful aroma of the dashi will whet your appetite, and even the crispy scorched rice at the bottom is delicious! They also offer seasonal kamameshi, so you can discover a new taste with each visit. Especially recommended is the “Chicken and Burdock Kamameshi.” The umami of the chicken and the aroma of the burdock are a perfect match in this irresistible dish.
Other Menu Items

There’s a rich variety of other attractive menu items, like sashimi and fried dishes! It’s also a great idea to order a variety and share. The price range is around 700,000 Rupiah per person. It can be a bit lower if you don’t drink alcohol.

They also have an extensive selection of Japanese sake. Why not ask for a recommendation to pair with your food?
Voices and Reputation on Social Media
Although it just opened in 2023, it has high ratings on Google Maps, and many influencers and Indonesian celebrities have visited. Let’s take a look at the actual reviews and voices on social media!

Behind Blok M… the entrance is hidden away. But once you go inside, you’ll be surprised! … The interior is spacious and has the ambiance of a high-end Japanese restaurant… Probably the most wonderful and recommended Japanese restaurant in Jakarta.

All the food was delicious and the service was excellent! The drinks are expensive but they have a wide selection! The kamameshi at the end takes about 30 minutes, so order it early. By the way, they charge a 400k corkage fee.

A calm atmosphere inside. Delicious food and drinks. I had a wonderful time✨ I’ll be back again.

It’s a black prefab building next to Blok M Square, and at first, I was confused if I was in the right place. But once inside, it’s a completely different, moody space… All the dishes are carefully prepared and served on stylish tableware… To be able to experience this quality in Indonesia is a blessing.

There’s a Japanese chef, and it’s very delicious. The staff is also well-trained. It’s a comfortable restaurant. It’s a pleasure to be able to eat such glossy and fluffy white rice in Jakarta… I think the average price is around 700,000 Rupiah per person.
Excellent Access! How to Get to “Sumi to Kome”

A Special Night at “Sumi to Kome”
