In tropical Jakarta, have you ever found yourself craving authentic Japanese ramen? For you, I recommend “SUSURU,” a ramen shop in the SCBD area. In particular, their yuzu ramen, which lavishly uses fragrant yuzu, is an exquisite dish you won’t forget once you’ve tried it.

Yuzu ramen sounds tempting!!

SUSURU’s Recommended Menu: Not Just Yuzu Shio! An Extensive Lineup
While SUSURU’s yuzu shio ramen is especially recommended, they also have a rich lineup of other attractive ramen and side dishes. Here are our recommended menu items, along with their prices. (Check out the photos on Instagram!)

Ramen
- Yuzu Ramen: Rp 98,000 (approx. 900 JPY) SUSURU’s recommended menu. A refreshing taste where the aroma of yuzu perfectly matches the chicken-based soup.
- Ramen Chashu Shoyu: Rp 95,000 (approx. 850 JPY) A rich shoyu ramen with plenty of fragrant chashu, featuring a savory dashi broth.
- Tonkotsu Ramen: Rp 97,000 (approx. 900 JPY) Recommended for those who like a rich pork bone broth.
- Maze Soba (Soupless Ramen): Rp 85,000 (approx. 800 JPY) A soupless mixed noodle dish where you mix various ingredients and sauce together.
Side Menu
- Gyoza: Rp 60,000 (approx. 500 JPY)
- Karaage: Rp 60,000 (approx. 500 JPY)
- Oyakodon: Rp 75,000 (approx. 650 JPY)
- Eihire (Stingray Fin): Rp 110,000 (approx. 1000 JPY) Perfect as a snack with drinks.
Recommended for Japanese Tourists
Our top recommendation is, of course, the Yuzu Ramen. Its refreshing taste is gentle on a stomach tired from Indonesian cuisine and will help you recover from your travel fatigue. For those who want a richer ramen, the Tonkotsu Ramen is also a great choice. The side menu also features familiar Japanese items, so you can order with confidence.
SUSURU’s Reviews & Reputation: Check Real Voices on Google Maps
We’ve looked up reviews from people who have actually visited SUSURU on Google Maps. We’ll share not only the good reviews but also some points of concern.

Good service, the waiter politely explained the differences between each ramen and gave recommendations. The eihire was very delicious, but the portion was a bit small. I personally like the tonkotsu ramen, and the soup was delicious. It’s a great place for lunch or dinner, and the atmosphere was nice.

Susuru, the only ramen shop in Ashta Mall, is on the ground floor and has a clean and nice interior. I ordered the chashu shoyu ramen and oyakodon. The ramen tasted good, the soup was very refreshing, and it suited my taste perfectly. However, the portion is a bit small for the price. On the other hand, the oyakodon was relatively average. Overall, Susuru is a good place to eat ramen at ASHETA mall.

I finally tried Susuru Astha a while after it opened. I initially thought it was a Japanese restaurant, but it’s actually a ramen specialty shop. The atmosphere is wonderful, with a cool and clean interior design. The service is great, and the staff are very polite and quick to respond. The ramen was particularly delicious, and the soup had a rich umami flavor. The tsukemen (chicken) gets a 9/10. The portion is very large (for a woman), and the soup has a slice of lime in it, making it refreshing.
High Points
- Warm yuzu ramen is recommended on a rainy day! The side dishes are also delicious!
- The clean and cool interior and the polite and prompt service are wonderful!
Points of Concern
- The taste of the ramen and the texture of the noodles were not to my liking. The oyakodon was also below average.
Reviews are just personal opinions. Tastes and preferences vary from person to person, so please be sure to try SUSURU for yourself. You might just find your perfect bowl of yuzu shio ramen!
